Microsoft® Office Live Meeting Plug-in Pack

Overview

AT&T Voice ConferencingSM Services has made it even easier to hold your web conference by offering access to a Live Meeting Plug-In Pack. The Live Meeting Plug-In Pack consists of three distinct plug-ins: the Live Meeting Plug-in for Outlook, the Office Collaboration Plug-in, and the Live Meeting Plug-in for Instant Messaging, each offering unique features. With the Live Meeting Plug-in Pack, you can perform conferencing tasks directly from Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, as well as from Windows Messenger, MSN Messenger, and Office Communicator 2005.

With The Live Meeting Plug-in For Outlook, You Can:

  • Schedule a Live Meeting from Outlook.
  • Identify individual meeting participants as attendees or presenters.
  • Send separate invitations for attendees and for presenters.
  • Specify default meeting options and override those defaults for specific meetings.

With The Live Meeting Plug-in For Office Collaboration, You Can:

  • Start a Meet Now meeting directly from Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, or Project. The document appears in an application sharing session.

With The Live Meeting Plug-in For Instant Messaging, You Can:

  • Start a Live Meeting from Windows Messenger or from MSN Messenger, if the recipient also has the Live Meeting Plug-in Pack installed.

  • Supported Platforms For Live Meeting Plug-in For Windows And MSN Messenger:

    • Microsoft Live Meeting version 2005 and higher.
    • Microsoft Windows Messenger 4.7 and higher.
    • MSN Messenger 6.0 and higher [NOTE: In order to use the Live Meeting Plug-in with MSN Messenger, Windows Messenger must also be installed].
    • Microsoft Office Communicator 2005.
    • Microsoft Windows 2000 SP4.
    • Microsoft Windows XP SP1a or later.
    • Windows XP SP2 or later.
    • Microsoft Windows Server 2003.

Instructions

Installation And Configuration

  1. Close all Office applications. The installer will close these programs for you, but should close these programs first to save any work in progress.
  2. To download the file on this page, click the Download files below link (above-right) and then double-click LMAddinPack.exe. (Note: If you are a Live Meeting Administrator and want to programmatically deploy the Live Meeting Plug-in Pack in your company, download and deploy the LMAddinPack.msi file.)
  3. Click Run. Any previous version of the Live Meeting Plug-ins will be removed before the latest version is installed. Your current Live Meetings and any settings will be retained.

Setting User Preferences

After the Live Meeting Plug-in pack has finished installing, the User Preferences dialog box is automatically displayed. If you had a previous version of the Plug-ins installed and working, the information should already be correct. Otherwise, select how you will specify your login information.

If You Know Your User Login And Password:

  1. Click I use a User Login and Password to access Live Meeting.
  2. Click Live Meeting URL, and then type the URL of your conference center (for example, http://www.livemeeting.com/cc/attvoice).
  3. Click User Login and type your Live Meeting User ID.
  4. Click Password and type your Live Meeting password.

If Your Company Accesses Live Meeting Via An Intranet Portal:

  1. Click I use an Intranet Portal to access Live Meeting.
  2. Click Portal URL and type the URL of your Intranet portal (for example, http://lmportal). When using the Intranet Portal, you must be logged in to the corporate network to schedule Live Meetings.
  3. To verify your login information, click Test Connection, and then click OK.
  4. You may be prompted to open and close Outlook before the Live Meeting Plug-in for Outlook appears.

To Remove This Download:

  1. On the Start menu, point to Settings and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Add or Remove Programs.
  3. In the list of currently installed programs, select Microsoft Office Live Meeting Plug-in Pack and then click Remove.
