Presenter Tools
Learn how to ensure a positive and productive Live Meeting experience with the extensive range of Presenter Tools available. A description and a guide are provided below.
Slide Pre-load
Pre-loading slides for your conference means they are distributed to the attendees from a secure, high-capacity server to ensure rapid loading to help expedite the start time of your conference. To pre-load slide after scheduling the conference:
- Log on to your Live Meeting website using the URL provided in your welcome email and on your wallet card and click on Your Meeting.
- On the left hand side of the menu bar, select the Import a Document icon and follow the on screen instructions.
- Once the document has been imported, click Done.
- When you enter the meeting, the document will be in the resource pane.
Import Content During A Meeting
You can copy presentations and documents to the Live Meeting service and include it within the resources pane of the Live Meeting console. You can now present the slides or document.
To Share A Document:
- In the Share menu, click Share Document to View.
- Navigate to the presentation you want to display, then click Open.
Edit Documents With Participants During Your Conference
- In the Share menu, click Share Document to Edit.
- Navigate to the document you want to display and click Open.
The file appears on your desktop and is visible to all attendees and the share controls function appears along the left side of your screen. You can now make changes directly in the document, and others will see the changes in real time.
To Display An Application That Is On Your Computer
- Start the application that you want to display to attendees.
- In the Share menu, click Share Application.
- In the Sharing dialog box, click the name of the application you want to display. Click OK.
The Share Application capability makes an application you have loaded on your personal computer visible to all attendees; using this capability you can give your participants guided tours and demonstration of the application such as human resource systems, accounting systems, customer service applications.
Selecting And Showing Slides
There are several ways to select and show slides to attendees.
To select and show slides:
- Click the slide show that you want to show, move through the slides by clicking on the thumbnails.
- If your screen is in full mode, navigate through the slide via the arrows on the left-hand corner.
Insert New Slides
In addition to slides created in PowerPoint® and then imported into the meeting, you can insert new slides into the resource pane by clicking on the appropriate icon on the window panel in the meeting console:
White Board slides a blank image upon which you can draw, add text and stamps, and highlight information
Web slides lets you display a website to an attendee
Text slides a blank text editable slide
Polling slides a slide to elicit feedback from the audience
Snapshot slides shows a portion of a document or application from your computer
Sharing slides a way to share a view or application on the computer with attendees
Use the Share menu to insert these slides. Alternatively, you will find these icons on the top of the window panel.
Manage Content
Managing the presentations is made easy through intuitive drag-and-drop opening files, thumbnail navigation of documents and an inventory of content available for the meeting in the resource pane.
Annotation Tools
The Annotation tools include:
Select tool to select an annotation.
Pointer tool to point to information.
Drawing tool to create freehand drawings.
Highlighter tool to highlight an area.
Stamp tool to add an arrow, check mark or "X" to the slide.
Draw Text tool to add text to a slide.
Clear Annotation to remove all annotations from a slide.
To Use The Annotation Tools:
- Show an image or White Board slide with which you want to work.
- The Annotation tool buttons appear in the toolbar in the upper right corner.
- Click the tool with which you want to work, then click the area on the slide where you want to use the tool.
Manage Content In The Resources Pane
The Resources pane displays all content that you and the other presenters have made available for sharing at the meeting. To share content, you must first add the content to the Resources pane, either by importing it or creating a new Live Meeting collaborative slide.
To View The Resources Pane:
- In the View menu, point to Panes and click Resources
To View The Thumbnail Pane For A Resource:
- In the Resources pane, click the resource whose thumbnails you want to view.
- In the View menu, click Show Thumbnails.
